This week we welcome 4 new members to our stretched ceiling family of installers. Vyacheslav Romanenko, who will be installing in Vancouver, B.C. under the name Vancouver Stretch Ceilings, as well as Vincent Gruber, Denis Desbiens, Serge Quintal and Matthieu Hamelin, who will all be installing in the Montreal, Quebec area for our authorized dealer, DaVinci.
Stretched Ceiling Family Members
The new DaVinci team travelled non-stop from Montreal by minivan, and all learned, laughed, and ate together for 3 days.
On the first day, our trainees learn theory, including product knowledge, installation technique, measuring for stretch ceiling, and how to use the software with which they will be provided for ceiling plan layouts, quotes, ordering, and more. We also help them with techniques and strategies for marketing their new found skill set, and answer questions.
The second and third days involve practical experience for the students. On day 2, they learn PVC membrane installation, and on day 3, they learn installation for our Descor canvas textured membrane.
Day 2 and 3 installation training includes preparation of the site, profiles (the framing which holds the membrane in place) and the membrane itself.
Then installation of all of these, and of collars for ceiling mounted fixtures such as pot and pendant lights, so that they appear to be mounted seamlessly on the stretch membrane.
In the office, we were hard at work printing a full package of stretch ceiling marketing materials to send back home with our new graduates, as we do for all of our dealer/installers.
They will also go back to their new businesses with proprietary spatula tools for installing stretch ceiling, samples of profiles and membranes, and our ongoing dealer and technical support.
With Montreal and Vancouver’s reputations as cities of high style, and with the results we’ve seen our existing dealers achieving, we are confident that DaVinci’s and Vancouver Stretch Ceiling’s high quality ceilings will be a hit!
