Laqfoil Stretch Ceilings are particularly good for spaces with unusual climates. High humidity, no climate control for several months of the year, vapours, dust, and odour only serve to show how superior stretch ceiling is as an interior and exterior material compared to conventional ceilings.
White Reflective Stretch Ceilings by Laqfoil
We recently installed this white stretch ceiling in a high end hot tub room in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Hot tub water, being close to human body temperature, must be heavily chlorinated or brominated so as to prevent the water from harbouring dangerous disease causing microorganisms, including bacteria and viruses. Our client wanted to be sure that the scent of these chemicals would not permeate the house above, and a non-porous stretch ceiling was the perfect answer.
Humidity from the tub will not warp, crack, bubble or peel the ceiling, and it is also resistant to mold and mildew growth. If anything should mark the surface, a simple wipe will clean it off without staining, as almost nothing can penetrate the non-porous surface (an exception is the ink which we use for our printed ceilings – it will bond with them on a molecular level).
White is the most reflective colour, but when you add to this the shine of our high gloss membrane material, reflections can totally change the character of the room. The reflective golden metallic rim on the tub, shiny tiles on the surrounding walls, and the water itself all join in with the ceiling in reflecting colour-changing LED lights. The result? A perfect fantasy of a room for relaxation and enjoyment for many years to come!
