Opened Jan. 31, 2012, The St. Regis Toronto®, located at the corner of Bay and Adelaide Streets in Toronto, is Canada’s tallest residential building at 65 stories. Its height is surpassed in Canada only by First Canadian Place, also in Toronto, built in 1975, with 72 stories of offices.
Developed by Talon International Development, Inc. President and CEO Val Levitan and Chairman Alex Shnaider, its stone, steel and glass façade is crowned by an articulated spire. Guests there enjoy 261 luxurious rooms and suites, with features including spectacular meeting and event space, STOCK™ Restaurant and destination lounge, and the 15,000-square-foot, world-class Quartz Crystal Spa™.
Rising 31 floors above the city, and flooded with an abundance of natural light, this meticulously designed oasis juxtaposes classic Hollywood glamour with the transformative healing properties of the quartz mineral – Inspired by 19th-century Russian quartz baths, which were a healing ritual for generations.
Amazing Stretched Ceiling Over the Main Pool
Laqfoil’s part in all this fabulous luxury is a curved stretched ceiling over the main pool in the Quartz Crystal Spa, lit indirectly from a perimeter cove. As with the rest of the interiors at The St. Regis Toronto®, this space was designed by an internationally renowned design firm, IIxIV.
Spa Director Daphne Swenerton was so pleased with the ceiling that she praises it in this testimonial.
Would you like to add some St. Regis style to your home or project? Featured throughout the hotel are oversized wall and ceiling panels featuring abstract graphics, Japanese blossoms, and reflective metallics. Laqfoil can provide full ceilings or walls, framed or unframed panels with stock artwork.
While Laqfoil carries a large selection of colourful images, this look is best achieved with a restrained colour palette, concentrating on precious metal colours, gold and silver.
